CONCORD, Mass. – July 15, 2013 – Technical Communications Corporation (NasdaqCM: TCCO) has been selected to supply the secure radio and telephone encryption solutions, and customized cryptographic services and tools for a domestic prime contractor supporting a government customer in North Africa. Initial orders totaling $800,000 have been received with follow-on potential of up to approximately $1 million over the next two years.

As part of the agreement, TCC will provide the DSP 9000 universal radio encryption system for secure voice field communications, as well as a secure telephone solution. Additionally, TCC will provide operation, maintenance and cryptography training services, as well as customized tools to enable customer-independent system maintenance and testing, and cryptographic validation.
DSP 9000 Universal Secure Radio Encryption
TCC's DSP 9000 technology secures radio and telephone voice communications across HF/VHF/UHF radio networks, and VoIP, digital and analog telephones. The DSP 9000 universal secure radio encryption system operates with all radio makes and models, and seamlessly overlays on existing voice networks for cost effective end-to-end secure communications. The DSP 9000 has proven in-use performance with government agencies and armed forces around the world, including major deployments in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. Applications span airborne, naval and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) communications.
